A United Airlines flight carrying 245 passengers has made an emergency return to Lagos, resulting in several minor injuries.
Flight UA613, which was en route from Lagos to Washington, declared an emergency and returned to Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) shortly after entering Ivory Coast airspace. Reports indicate that multiple passengers and crew members aboard the Boeing 787 sustained minor injuries.
According to one passenger who preferred to remain anonymous, the incident occurred after they had unfastened their seatbelts. The passengers mentioned they had just been served their meals when the plane lost cabin pressure and experienced a sudden drop in altitude.
United Airlines later confirmed that the flight from Lagos to Washington had returned due to a technical issue. After landing safely, the aircraft was met by first responders to address the reported minor injuries among several passengers and crew members.
