There are concerns that another round of protests in the country could degenerate into violence and undermine development, following the recent violent protests in parts of the country. Currently, 10 people are standing trial for their alleged role in the recent protests.

The Nigerian Youth Organization at the presidential amnesty program office in Abuja voiced its concerns about impending protests in the country. According to the organization, they are all aware of the hardships in the country and are determined to ensure that the government works to alleviate these hardships. They expressed their refusal to allow selfish politicians to use them in the name of hardship to perpetrate vices in the society.

The presidential amnesty program also shares some concerns but calls for citizen understanding. They believe that the government means well for the people and urged citizens not to use proxies to protest. Instead, they encouraged citizens to engage with the government and have constructive dialogues. They also cautioned against disrupting businesses and engaging in activities that could be considered treason during protests.
