Dangote Refinery might end up selling its petrol abroad because the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited doesn't want to be the only buyer of its product.

 The NNPC in a press statement press release stated that it would only buy Dangote fuel if it was cheaper than the international market price the Dangote group had expected the nnpc to roll out its product but the nnpc declared it would not become the distributor for any entity in a free market environment the nnpc also stated the

 

dangote and other domestic refineries were free to sell directly to any marketer on a willing buyer willing seller basis the independent petroleum marketers Association of Nigeria hitman has offered to buy PMS from dangote at any price even if the nnpc refuses to buy
