Passengers Injured As 2 BRT Buses Collide In Lagos State
Many passengers were on Tuesday injured following a late night Collision involving two bus Rapid Transit at the Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State.
According to a post on X by the Lagos State traffic Management Authority the accident occurred within the BRT lane on Lagos Abeokuta Expressway just around Danco Filling Station.
LASTMA added that the wounded persons were rushed to a nearby Medical facility for treatment.
Head of public affairs unit of the Lagos State Emergency Management agency Nosa Okunbor said investigations at the scene revealed that the BRT bus headed inward Iyana Ipaja had collided with an uncoming BRT bus in an attempt to avoid crushing a commercial motorcyclist with passengers who was plying the corridor illegally.
