The Nigerian government has approved an increase in passport fees

The federal government of Nigeria has approved an upward review of the fees for the passport

The Nigerian government has approved an increase in fees for the standard Nigerian passport, effective from 1st September. As per the review, the 32-page passport booklet with 5-year validity, previously priced at 35,000 naira, will now cost 50,000 naira. The 64-page passport booklet with 10-year validity, previously priced at 70,000 naira, will now be 100,000 naira.

The fees for passport applications from Nigeria's diaspora remain unchanged. The Nigerian Immigration Service regrets any inconvenience this increase may cause prospective applicants and assures Nigerians of its unwavering commitment to transparency and quality service delivery at all times.
