The Minister of Defence has contributed N20 million to assist flood victims in Jigawa and has committed to providing further support from the federal government.

 

Minister Of Defence Donates N20million To Flood Victims In Jigawa, Pledges Federal Government Aid

Jigawa state where the Minister of Defense Abubakar Badaru has donated 20 million Naira to victims of the recent flood that killed at least 33 persons and destroyed houses and property.

The minister during his visit commiserated with the state government and victims over the incident.

He also assured that President Bola tinubu is aware of the situation and will support the state government in finding a lasting solution.

The governor mentions that more than 148 communities were affected, more than 50,000 personsisplaced and about 11,000 farmlands washed away by the flood.
