OIL & Gas Sector: President Tinubu & President Mbasogo Sign Gulf Of Guinea Gas Pipeline Agreement



The agreement signing ceremony at malabo Equatorial Guinea between President Bola Tinubu and the equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.


The Minister of Foreign Affairs for Nigeria Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Equatorial Guinea Mr SimeΓ³n Oyono Esono also signed the agreement.

The agreement covered legislative and Regulatory measures for gas pipeline establishment and operation Transit of natural gas ownership of gas pipeline and general principles.

In his remark president Bola Tinubu said the signing of agreement will open up new opportunities for gas employment, The president stated that the two leaders had discussed issues related to the creation of employment food security multilateral relations and conflict resolution mechanism on the continent during a private meeting that preceded the signing of the agreement.


In his remark president of Equatorial Guinea said bilateral relations with Nigeria over many years have been rewarding and emphasize the need to deepen cooperation across Salient areas.
