National Assembly swiftly Passes N70,000 Bill Into Law
The National Assembly has now speedily passed the national minimum wage bill act of 2019 Amendment bill .
The bill which scaled first second and third readings just minutes after was transmitted by President Bola Tinibu was instantly passed by the upper and lower Chambers.
President Tinubu request has been committed to the committee of a whole for the lawmakers to deliberate and assess the content of bill.
The presidential and the leadership of organized labor had last Thursday agreed on 70,000 as the new minimum wage for Nigerian workers.
The resolution between government and labor leaders followed series of talks after months failed meetings between organized labor and the Tripartite Committee and minimum wage constituted by the president in January .
