The Edo state government has petitioned the Inspector General of police Kayode Egbetokun Over the Thursday's violence in the state.
The petition signed by state solicitor general professor of Faith Osadolor on behalf of the State's Attorney General and commissioner for justice.
The government accused Mr shaibu of recruiting heavily armed thugs leading to destruction within the Benin metropolis and death of a police officer
The state government wants the police to thoroughly investigate the mater by inviting Philip Shaibu and others for questioning.
