Guardiola says Haaland is suffering with niggles and isn't fully fit ahead of season


Pep Guardiola has admitted he's having to manage Erling Haaland  minutes very carefully as he deals with a minor muscle injury.


Haaland was substituted at half time  of City's pre-season penalty shootout defeat to Barcelona in Florida last night teenager Nico   O'Reilly and Jack greish were on the score sheet.


 Haaland started the game before being withdrawn at half time it's the third successive preseason match in which he's been subbed off at the break speaking after the game Guardiola admitted that the Norway Striker is struggling to reach full fitness as the clock ticks down towards next week's Community Shield clash with Manchester United in his postmatch news conference Guardiola said of Haaland.

he's got some niggles, he didn't feel good, he's disturbing something doesn't feel comfortable we don't want to take risks sooner or later he has to take a step, he has  niggles, muscular, we don't want to take a risk and lose him for 3 weeks that would be a problem 60,70% of the squad are on holiday
