The Edo People's Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled its former Deputy Governor, Mr. Shaibu.
The Edo chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership has announced the expulsion of former deputy governor Mr. Philip Shaibu and National Vice Chairman (South-South) Chief Dan Orbih from the party, citing anti-party activities.
Additionally, Mr. Omorgie Ihama, a former House of Representatives member, was also expelled for the same reason.
The decision was made at a meeting attended by nine members of the State Working Committee at the party secretariat in Benin.
In response, Orbih emphasized that the body did not have the authority to suspend a member of the National Working Committee or to expel anybody without following the party's constitution.
