Senator Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia North has conveyed to President Bola Tinubu that Nigerians are experiencing hunger.
While acknowledging that President Tinubu has made commendable progress in certain economic sectors, Kalu emphasized the need for further improvements in others.
In an interview with Channels Television, he stressed the necessity for fiscal policies that would boost food production.
"The president has certainly excelled in some areas, yet there is room for enhancement in others.
I am a person who values practicality, fears no one, and champions the truth," Kalu stated. "While President Tinubu has achieved notable success in some sectors, the issue of feeding our populace remains; people are hungry.
He has performed admirably in terms of economic and monetary policy. However, when it comes to fiscal policies, we need to increase food production.
My desire is for us to cultivate more food."
