When the honeymoon stage of romantic love dies, as it must, the second, final stage, Enduring Love should have, and usually does set in.
Do you enjoy things together?
Are you really compatible, or do they just get on your nerves?
How do they make you feel?
How do they treat you?
Are you comfortable with them even when you both have nothing to say?
Are you communicating or arguing?
I am assuming you are still at least enjoying sex with each other. If not, that says it all.
There are 3 essentials to happy, healthy, successful ongoing romantic relationships:
Communication - ideally about everything, but also on a soul to soul deeper, higher level, on q non-conflict basis (with rare exceptions),
Focus - prioritization of your beloved over everyone else (until children, and then both of you prioritize them first), and
Devotion - commitment on a higher, deeper, spiritual level.
If you share these three things, you are actively in Enduring Love, and if you don’t, either develop them or move on because you are wasting each other’s time.
Hope you find this helpful, bubala.
